Raffi Garabedian is co-founder and CEO of Electric Hydrogen Co., a company pioneering low-cost, high-efficiency, fossil-free hydrogen systems to decarbonize industrial sectors like ammonia and steel.

Before founding Electric Hydrogen, Raffi joined First Solar, Inc. in 2008 and was named CTO in 2012, where he was responsible for the company’s technology platform and product development. Previously, Raffi spent over 15 years developing and commercializing new technologies, ranging from MEMS sensors to fiberoptic telecommunications switching systems and semiconductor test equipment. He was the founding CEO of Touchdown Technologies, Inc. which was acquired by Agilent/Verigy, and also founded Micromachines Inc., which was acquired by Kavlico. Raffi has served on the boards of a number of companies including ESS, Inc., Fulfil Solutions, and Covalent Metrologies.

Mr. Garabedian is named on approximately 30 issued U.S. patents. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of California Davis.
