Shashank Samala is CEO of Heirloom, a company building Direct Air Capture technology to permanently remove a gigaton of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere by 2035.
Prior to Heirloom, he co-founded Tempo, a software-accelerated electronics manufacturer that aims to provide electronics manufacturing as a service. Their capabilities include building reusable rockets, satellites, surgical robots, and more from design to assembly in a matter of days, rather than weeks or months. Tempo has raised over $75M in venture funding from Lux Capital, Point72 Ventures, Uncork Capital, and other investors. Shashank is most passionate about inspiring and unleashing others' creative potential and channeling towards the most pressing challenges and the technologies of tomorrow. He was named a Forbes 30 under 30 in 2016.
Shashank received his B.S. degree from Cornell University.
