An experienced entrepreneur and business leader, Scott Thomsen is the founder and CEO of LuxWall, a Michigan-based startup company focused on commercializing Net Zero Glass.
Previously, he held various positions of increasing responsibility in Guardian Glass. As President, Scott oversaw 65 facilities in 27 countries across 5 continents with 11,000 employees. Scott was key to leading the Guardian's transformation from a commodity glass producer to a provider of value-added products and services focused on vacuum thin film coatings and advanced glazing technologies. Prior to Guardian, Thomsen held key positions at OIS Optical Imaging Systems (Guardian Affiliate), a company producing Active Matrix Liquid Crystal Displays (AMLCDs) and he also developed aerospace electronic systems at Honeywell Aerospace.
Thomsen holds B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a M.S. in System Engineering, and has been awarded over 110 U.S. patents in thin film coatings, glass materials, and electrical devices.
