Dr. Mary Haas is a technology executive with more than 20 years of leadership experience within the gas processing industry. As CEO and President of Sustaera, she leads the scaling and commercialization of the company’s novel Direct Air Capture technology.
Prior to joining Sustaera, Mary held global roles of increasing responsibility at Air Products and Chemicals where she most recently served as Executive Director of the company’s $200 MM global cryogenic equipment division, completing two acquisitions as well as significant geographic expansion. Dr. Haas holds 8 patents related to the first commercial porous dielectric material used in high-volume, semiconductor logic manufacturing. She received a 2018 Air Products Chairman Award for Leadership, and a 2013 Air Products Innovation Award.
She has a PhD in Materials Science from Princeton University and is a passionate STEM advocate.
