Recently appointed as the VP for Shell Hydrogen, Paul Bogers oversees all aspects of Shell’s growing hydrogen business as a fuel for transport and industry. Prior to taking this role, Paul was Shell’s VP for Fuel Technologies, leading a team of over 200 scientists and engineers working in fuels development, actively shaping future fuels, and developing alternatives.

Previous projects for the company included a range of commercial, technical, and strategy roles in Shell’s aviation business. Paul also led the product development of differentiated fuels and lubricants in the UK and US, that resulted in the world’s first commercial flights powered by GTL jet fuel, as well as spearheading development of Pennzoil Pureplus, the first motor oil derived from natural gas.

Paul holds an MSc in Aerospace Engineering from Delft University of Technology in The Netherlands and a post-graduate degree in Fluid Dynamics from the Von Karman Institute in Brussels.
