Cody Finke is the co-founder and CEO of Brimstone, a company on a mission for the global decarbonization of cement. Cody performed his postdoctoral work at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab where he was a DOE-funded Cyclotron Road entrepreneurial fellow.

He received his PhD in Environmental Science and Engineering from Caltech in 2020 and a BA in Chemistry from Carleton College in 2012. While at Carleton, Cody was recognized with numerous awards, including being named a Barry M. Goldwater Scholar for Excellence in Education. At Caltech, he conducted research aimed at solving the global water crisis and optimizing green fuel sources.

In 2015, Cody won the Dow-SISCA Runner-up Prize along with Justin Jasper for the project titled ""Electrochemical+UV On-Site Wastewater Treatment"", as well as the 2014 Vodafone Wireless Innovations Project competition for his software engineering work.
